How many fingers am I holding up?

Fact: I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old. Why so young? Is it not evident that I was a child prodigy that could read at a 5th grade level before I was properly potty trained?
Having worn glasses for almost my entire life you can imagine that I have had my share of frames. Between bicycle accidents and forgetfulness I have lost over 10 pairs of glasses. I currently rock a pair of tortoise shell plastic Gucci frames with the word "Gucci" written across the left side in gold lettering. I love my current glasses but I feel that it is once again time for a change.
The eye wear in question are a pair of Eyebobs frames called "Tao Jones". What do you think? Being that my last pair set me back $400 these are a steal at $65.

Because Eddie will always make you laugh

Classic Eddie Murphy (Saturday Night Live)

Downtown Oakland is on the come up.

Oakland, California has been known for many things but great live shows, attractive night life and luxurious condos have not always been it, but these days the Bay Areas finest seem to be pouring into Oakland for just that. With the reopening of the historic Fox Theatre (1) on February 5th, 2009, the city has been a buzz with street festivals, award winning restaurant openings and stylish night clubs. Oakland has always been a culturally rich city but now more than ever there is a vast selection of places to see and people to know. Places like the Oakland Ice Center (2) offer a indoor winter wonderland anytime of the year, where the courageous can strap on a pair of skates and attempt to not, "break the ice". For the less brave of you who rather stay on dry land the Oakland Walking Tours (3) offers guided tours of downtown Oakland, a great way to view the city without the traffic and the gas money. Like many US cities, Oakland is trying to stay afloat in hard economic times so spend some of your hard earned money in a city that offers you the New York nightlife with out the expensive yellow cabs or the wide eyed tourist.

"You are not the father!"

As I was scrolling over my google search bar to look up something I typed in the number 16 and immediately the MTV show 16 and Pregnant came into the search bar. I hate that show, especially after living in the south where people say things like (Insert country accent here) "I don't let my daughter take sex ed cus she will end up knocked up in no time, she don't need to know nothin but what her cousin teaches her" or "teenagers don't need condoms, it just encourages them to have sex". The only thing that would make teenagers want to get pregnant is a MTV reality show that makes 9 months of pregnancy look "super cool", besides the birthing (that parts gross). MTV never claimed to be intelligent television but I think we can all agree that after The Real World Las Vegas cast member Trishelle accidently got pregnant by fellow Real World'er Stephen and thought that they actually would be good parents, MTV reality became more like an episode of the Maury Show. Thankfully Trishelle was not pregnant.
Reality television, what could be more real?
